Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12 October 2026

Bioanalytix ("Bioanalytix", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and recognises that genetic, health-related and financial information can be particularly sensitive.

This Privacy Policy explains how Bioanalytix collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you use our websites, applications and services.

1. Our approach to privacy

Bioanalytix is designed around data minimisation. We seek to collect and retain only information reasonably required to provide and improve the service, operate accounts, administer subscriptions, maintain security and meet legal obligations.

A particularly important feature of Bioanalytix is the way DNA files are handled. When you choose to analyse a supported DNA file, the raw file is processed locally in your browser. The raw DNA file itself is not uploaded to or stored by Bioanalytix.

Only selected genetic observations relevant to supported Bioanalytix analyses, together with limited source metadata, are transmitted to Bioanalytix. Bioanalytix may store those observations and analyses derived from them with your account.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you use Bioanalytix, we may collect or hold:

  • account information, such as your name, email address, authentication details and account preferences;
  • subscription and transaction information, including subscription status and payment-related identifiers;
  • financial and planning information you choose to provide, including information used to model wealth, retirement, longevity and estate-planning scenarios;
  • selected genetic observations extracted locally from a DNA file where you expressly choose to use DNA functionality;
  • health-related, biological, lifestyle or demographic information you choose to provide;
  • analyses, profiles, scenarios, model outputs and other information derived from information you provide;
  • communications you send to us, including support and contact enquiries;
  • technical and security information reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service, such as device, browser, session and diagnostic information.

Genetic information and some health-related information may constitute sensitive information under applicable privacy law.

3. DNA and genetic information

Bioanalytix does not require DNA information to use all parts of the service. DNA functionality is optional.

Before genetic information is submitted to Bioanalytix, you are asked to provide consent for its processing.

Where supported DNA functionality is used:

  1. your raw DNA file is read and processed locally by your browser;
  2. the raw file is not uploaded to or stored by Bioanalytix;
  3. only selected genetic observations relevant to supported analyses, together with limited source metadata, are transmitted;
  4. Bioanalytix may retain those selected observations and derived findings with your account so that genetic analysis can be incorporated into your planning experience.

Bioanalytix does not claim that genetic information can determine how long you will live or predict your future health with certainty. Genetic evidence is probabilistic, incomplete and dependent on scientific context.

You may replace your genetic data or request deletion of genetic data through the functionality provided in the service. Deleting genetic data is intended to remove the genetic observations and derived genetic profile associated with your account without requiring deletion of unrelated financial planning information or your account.

4. How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate and administer your account;
  • provide Bioanalytix functionality and generate analyses, scenarios and planning outputs;
  • integrate supported genetic evidence into health, longevity and financial-planning scenarios where you have chosen to provide that information;
  • administer subscriptions, trials and payments;
  • communicate with you about your account, service or enquiries;
  • maintain, secure, troubleshoot and improve Bioanalytix;
  • prevent misuse, fraud or security incidents;
  • understand service performance and reliability;
  • comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations; and
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

We do not use your raw DNA file because the raw file is not uploaded to Bioanalytix.

5. Automated analysis and modelling

Bioanalytix uses software models and analytical processes to produce genetic, longevity, financial and planning outputs.

These outputs are analytical estimates and scenarios. They may be based on assumptions, scientific evidence, user-provided information and model parameters. They are not statements of certainty about your health, lifespan, investment outcomes or financial future.

Bioanalytix may update models and interpretations as scientific and financial evidence develops.

6. Payments

Payments and subscription administration may be provided through third-party payment providers.

Bioanalytix does not need to store complete payment-card details where those details are processed directly by the payment provider. We may receive and retain information required to administer your subscription, such as customer, subscription, price, transaction and status identifiers.

7. Service providers

We use service providers to operate Bioanalytix, which may include providers of:

  • cloud hosting and infrastructure;
  • database and data-storage services;
  • authentication and account services;
  • payment processing;
  • transactional email and communications;
  • security, monitoring and operational services.

These providers may process personal information on our behalf where reasonably necessary to provide their services.

We seek to limit the information made available to service providers to what is reasonably required for the relevant function.

8. Disclosure of information

We do not sell your genetic information.

We may disclose personal information:

  • to service providers acting on our behalf as described above;
  • where you direct or consent to the disclosure;
  • where reasonably necessary to protect the security or integrity of Bioanalytix;
  • where required or authorised by applicable law, legal process or a court or regulatory authority; or
  • in connection with a genuine corporate transaction, restructuring or transfer of the Bioanalytix business, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not disclose genetic information to insurers, employers or marketers for their independent use merely because you use Bioanalytix.

9. Overseas processing

Some service providers used to operate Bioanalytix may process or store information using infrastructure located outside Australia.

The location of cloud infrastructure and service-provider processing may change over time. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the nature of the information and service to protect personal information handled through third-party providers.

If you require further information about the locations relevant to your information, contact us.

10. Security

Bioanalytix uses technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Measures include authenticated access, account-level ownership controls and minimisation of DNA data transmitted to the service.

No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using reasonable security practices on devices from which you access Bioanalytix.

11. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, administer your account, maintain legitimate business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet applicable legal obligations.

Different categories of information may have different retention periods.

Where deletion functionality is available, you may use it to remove specified information. You may also delete your Bioanalytix account through account settings.

Deletion may not immediately remove information from transient system backups or records that must reasonably be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or financial record-keeping. Such information will not be retained for longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes.

12. Access and correction

You may access or update certain personal information through your Bioanalytix account.

You may contact us if you wish to request access to, or correction of, personal information that you cannot manage through the service. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

There may be circumstances in which applicable law permits or requires us to refuse access or correction. Where required, we will explain the basis for that decision.

13. Consent and choices

Where Bioanalytix relies on your consent to collect or process sensitive information, including supported genetic information, you may choose not to provide that information.

You may withdraw consent for future genetic processing by deleting your genetic data or otherwise using the controls made available through Bioanalytix.

Withdrawal does not invalidate processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal and may limit functionality that depends on the relevant information.

14. Cookies and similar technologies

Bioanalytix may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, session management, preferences and core operation of the service.

At the effective date of this policy, the public Bioanalytix website does not use optional third-party advertising or marketing analytics cookies that require a separate marketing-consent mechanism.

If our use of optional tracking technologies materially changes, we will update our practices and notices as appropriate.

15. Children

Bioanalytix is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Do not submit genetic or other sensitive information about another person, including a child, unless you are legally authorised to do so and the use is permitted by Bioanalytix.

16. Complaints and privacy enquiries

If you have a question, concern or complaint about privacy or the way Bioanalytix handles personal information, contact:

Email: contact@bioanalytix.co

Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate the issue. We will seek to respond within a reasonable period.

Depending on the law applicable to your circumstances, you may also have a right to complain to an appropriate privacy or data-protection regulator.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Bioanalytix develops, our service providers change, or legal and regulatory requirements evolve.

The current version will be published on the Bioanalytix website with its effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service where appropriate.
